How it works

A verified badge tells our community that your business is authentic and trustworthy. Getting one is simple:

• Complete Your Profile: Ensure your business name, logo, and contact details are fully updated.
• Submit Documents: Go to your business settings and upload your required documents.
• Review Process: Our team reviews your submission. Once approved, the blue badge appears next to your business name.

1. Required Documents

You must upload the following two documents with your verification request.

• National ID card
• Business Registration Certificate

2. Document Guidelines

• Documents must be in PDF, JPG, or PNG format.
• Each file must be 5MB or smaller.
• All documents must be clear, legible, and unedited.

3. Review Process

• The verified blue badge is issued after our team approves your submission.
• Review normally takes up to 48 hours.
• We may reject a request if documents are missing, unclear, or mismatched with your page details.
• You will be notified of the outcome in your notifications.

4. Acceptable Use

• By submitting a request, you agree to the following terms. Verification is reserved for legitimate businesses and must reflect the entity that owns or operates the page.
• Misrepresentation, forged documents, or attempts to verify a page you do not own may result in rejection and/or account action.
• We may revoke a verified badge if your business no longer qualifies.

Starting a business on Island Index is free and takes less than a minute.

• Open Profile Menu: Click on your profile at the bottom left of the sidebar.
• Click 'Add New Page': Select the option to create a new business page.
• Enter Details: Provide your business name, a unique username, and choose your business type.
• Publish: Once created, you can start posting your products and services immediately.

Keeping your profile up to date helps other users and businesses find you.

• Go to Settings: Click on your profile name in the sidebar and select 'Settings'.
• Edit Info: You can change your name, email, and location.
• Update Photo: Click on your profile picture to upload a new one.
• Save: Don't forget to click 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the page.

Protecting your account is our top priority. We recommend following these best practices:

• Strong Password: Use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Two-Factor Auth: Enable 2FA in your settings for an extra layer of protection.
• Monitor Activity: Regularly check your 'Connected Devices' in settings to see where you are logged in.
